Ruben Rais

Coexistence Track Coordinator

Ruben is originally from Bogota, Colombia, but has spent considerable time living in both Israel and the United States. What began with an interest in Zionism and the Arab-Israeli conflict during his undergraduate days has gradually broadened into a love affair with Jewish texts, history, and community. Along the way, he has been blessed with the opportunity to participate as a staff member and a participant at Kivunim, Yeshivat Hadar, and BINA -- three organizations that have shaped and enlivened both his personal and professional Jewish journeys. Most recently he was living in NYC where he pursued a Masters in Education and Jewish Studies at NYU. These days he is particularly interested in movement, Talmudic stories, and Jewish prayer -- and in combining the three. A sort of Torah of the body if you will. Ruben also likes lemonade, samurais and pillows.
