The best way to learn and get to know a new culture and to form solid, insightful opinions is through face-to-face encounters – interacting with the people that make up the society. In the case of the Tikkun Olam Coexistence Track, you will interact with Israeli society in its full diversity as well as the Arab community living in Jaffa, which in and of itself is made up of diverse religious and ethnic groups.

Through these encounters you will get to know life in this intense and intricate city: you will learn of local customs, hear the personal stories of Jaffa residents and have the chance to discover a local and honest point of view as voiced by those who live the conflict daily. At the same time, you will take part in the rare situation of a community which lives in fragile coexistence.
