Coexistence Track

On the Tikkun Olam Coexistence Track, you won't just study and volunteer for coexistence -- you'll live it!

You'll spend 5 or 10 months living in one of the diverse neighborhoods of the historic Jaffa area of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, while volunteering in schools and organizations within the community.

Volunteer work deals with the many different ethnic and religious groups living in Jaffa, such as Arab Muslims, Arab Christians, Mizrachi (eastern) Jews, and Ethiopian Jews.  In addition to studying the issues facing these peoples, through encounters and tours you will learn about the fascinating history of this ancient city -- a history that goes back for thousands of years.
