Cancellations and Refund Policy

Participants who choose to terminate their participation in the Tikkun Olam in Tel Aviv-Jaffa program are eligible for refunds of tuition payments under the following terms:

  • Cancellation prior to 90 days before the beginning of the program: Refund of paid tuition less $100 application fee.
  • Withdrawal less than 90 days before the beginning of the program: Refund of paid tuition less $750 confirmation fee and $100 application fee (total $850).
  • Withdrawal from the program two (2) months from the start of the program: participant will pay 40% of full tuition cost.*
  • Withdrawal more than two (2) months after the start of the program: Full tuition cost must be paid, less proportionate amount of Masa grant/scholarship for time of participation.

 
* In accordance with Masa Israel policy, participants who withdraw from the program early may have their funding reduced proportionally to time spent on the program, or revoked entirely.  Therefore, participants who withdraw within 2 months of the beginning of the program will be responsible for paying 40% of the full tuition cost of the program, which does not include deductions as a result of Masa funding.
Official date of withdrawal is defined as set forth in the below "Withdrawal Policy."


PLEASE NOTE: Refunds include those funds paid to Tikkun Olam in Tel Aviv-Jaffa / BINA-Merchavim by the participant him/herself ONLY, and do not include grants or scholarships from Masa or any other entity.  
 
Receipients of grants from the Tikkun Olam Israel Scholarship Fund who leave prior to completing the program are required to repay their grant amounts in full.

Participants who are dismissed from the program at any time due to violation of program rules or Israeli law will be eligible for a refund at the sole discretion of the Program Director.
 
 

Withdrawal Policy

Participants who withdraw from the program are required to give notice a full 2 weeks in advance of date of withdrawal.  The official date of withdrawal, as pertains to the above Refund Policy and all matters pertaining to program participation, is defined as the date on which the participant actually leaves the program, i.e. no less than 2 weeks after official notice of withdrawal is expressly communicated to the Program Director.
 
Any participant who withdraws from the program following the start of the program, and without giving sufficient advance notice to the Program Director (no less than 2 weeks before date of actual withdrawal) will not be eligible for a refund.
 
Waiver of any of the above stipulations will be granted solely at the discretion of the Program Director.
